Darwin Beauvais Named a Commissioner with the Pennsylvania Interbranch Commission

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Obermayer Partner Darwin Beauvais was named a Commissioner with Pennsylvania Interbranch Commission for Gender, Racial, and Ethnic Fairness (the “Interbranch Commission”). Established by the three branches of Pennsylvania government in 2005, the Interbranch Commission aims to promote the equal application of the law. At full capacity, it consists of 24 volunteer commissioners.

A partner in Obermayer’s Business & Finance Department, Darwin focuses his practice on zoning and land use as well as local government affairs. He represents real estate owners, developers, and investors in a wide variety of development and construction projects including residential, commercial, corporate, and alternative energy.

Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP), Darwin has an industry-leading understanding of green building practices and principles. He works closely with elected officials and municipal agencies to benefit his clients.

Before this appointment, Darwin served on Mayor-elect Cherelle Parker’s Transition Team as a member of the Housing, Planning, and Development Committee. Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker recently appointed him to the Philadelphia Land Bank Board. Additionally, Darwin serves on the Board of Directors of Visit Philadelphia.
