Obermayer Chair David A. Nasatir was unanimously elected to a full 2-year term as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority (PCCA).  

In completing the partial term Dave was initially elected to fill out, Dave and his colleagues at the Convention Center were able to:

• Obtain an extension of the Customer Satisfaction Agreement (CSA) with the Center’s labor partners, delivering cost certainty and important exhibitor rights to customers through the Year 2034. 
• Secure a new five-year food and beverage contract for the Center to ensure stable pricing, introduce new and exciting culinary concepts, and dedicated capital funding to renovate point-of-sale concessions – all focused on the customer experience.
• Amicably settle all outstanding litigation regarding withdrawal liability with the Carpenters’ Union Pension Fund.
• Launch efforts to guarantee PCCA’s future by extending the Operating Agreement with the Commonwealth and securing long-term financial support with partners in the Commonwealth Office of the Budget and General Assembly.

Further, last year also saw the safe return to in-person meetings and conventions at the Center, as well as the re-initiation of quarterly meetings among Hospitality leaders. The Center is viewed as the economic engine that drives the hospitality industry. Dave’s focus has been to engage with and support our partners at the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB), Visit Philly, The Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association(GPHA), and other regional convention bureaus to make our City and Center great.

Dave has served on the PCCA Board of Directors since 2016 and previously chaired the Board’s Legal Affairs Committee.
