Elizabeth Vaysman to Moderate a Panel at 2022 AAAA Annual Conference

Family law attorney Elizabeth Vaysman will be moderating a panel at the 2022  Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys‘ (AAAA) Annual Conference “In a New York State of Mind: Exploring Adoption and ART in the Big Apple.” The Conference will be held May 1 – 3, 2022 at InterContinental New York Barclay in New York City. 

Elizabeth’s panel is titled “Open Adoption Records and Post-Adoption Contact: A Fellow’s Story and Best Practices in the Future” and will take place on Tuesday, May 3rd, at 1:15 pm. From the perspective of an adoptee’s own journey and an agency’s practices, the panel will discuss the importance of access to open records for adoptees, whether seeking medical information, their original birth certificate, or court records, and the varying state laws that have different levels of restrictions on such records.
