Julie Colton to Present at PBI’s Estate Planning for Modern Families 2023
Our Pittsburgh-based family law partner Julie Colton will be presenting at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s (PBI) CLE, titled “Estate Planning for Modern Families 2023” on Thursday, October 12, 2023. The CLE will cover topics such as testamentary planning, before/after marriage planning, addressing family dynamics, and surrogate decision-making. Panelists will also discuss the use of trusts for addicted heirs and disabled heirs.
Julie’s panel will address the use of prenuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements and how they should be incorporated into Estate Planning.

Julie focuses her practice on family law matters including divorce, child custody, support, asset division, prenuptial agreements, and international custody. Julie also has experience in family law mediation and collaborative law in the Pittsburgh area. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
