Julie Colton to Present on Legal Issues and Protections for LGBTQ+ Individuals and Families

Join Obermayer family law partner Julie Colton on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, as she presents at the Allegheny County Bar Association LGBTQ+ Rights Committee’s CLE, titled “LGBTQ+ Families in Focus: Legal Insights and Best Practices in Family Law.”

This program will offer insights into LGBTQ+ considerations in family law, focusing on legal issues and protections unique to LGBTQ+ individuals and families. It also will cover evolving case law, policy changes and best practices for providing inclusive legal services to LGBTQ+ families.

Topics to be discussed include adoption and parental rights for LGBTQ+ families, custody and visitation rights in LGBTQ+ family law cases, and navigating family law challenges for transgender clients.
