Matthew Rogers Discusses Kayden’s Law in a PBA Family Law Section Podcast

July 18, 2024

Family Law Partner Matthew Rogers was a featured guest on the 46th episode of the PBA Family Law Section’s podcast, “Law in the Family.” In this episode, titled “Kayden’s Law,” Matthew discusses the newly signed legislation by Governor Josh Shapiro on April 15, 2024. This law, enacted in response to the tragic murder of Kayden Mancuso, aims to enhance child safety by emphasizing the consideration of a party’s history of abuse or certain criminal convictions. It establishes a rebuttable presumption when a history of abuse is present and increases the reliance on supervised custody arrangements and providers.

Matthew exclusively practices family law, handling all aspects of negotiation and litigation in high-asset, complex domestic relations matters, including divorce, equitable distribution, child custody, alimony/spousal support, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and protection from abuse. He also has experience in family law mediation and the filing and acquisition of Protection from Abuse Orders.
