Melissa Atkins Presented on Labor Grievance Processing
Melissa Atkins, a partner in Obermayer’s labor and employment department, co-presented at the American Arbitration Association (AAA) virtual CLE, titled “Labor Grievance Processing” on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. The webinar provided practical skills and information on how to constructively use the grievance process to resolve disputes and questions regarding contract interpretation.
The panel also explored how the grievance process can be used to:
- Assess the merits of a grievance.
- Conduct an investigation and communicate your position effectively at the grievance meeting.
- Implement or otherwise formalize the grievance procedure in your organization.
