Family law attorney Michael Bertin presented at a plenary program, titled “Hot Topics in Civil Litigation” at the PBA Midyear Meeting at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Nassau, The Bahamas on January 30, 2020. He was joined on the panel by Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Hon. Max Baer; Jennifer S. Coatsworth, Esq.; Scott B. Cooper, Esq.; Mary Kay Schwemmer, Esq., and Andrew F. Susko. Michael is the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, a member of its Executive Committee and Council (the governing bodies of the Section). He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and has published over one hundred articles. Michael co-authored the book on Pennsylvania child custody law “Pennsylvania Child Custody Law, Practice, and Procedure”, used by judges and lawyers across the state as a reference. Michael is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has an active family law practice. He handles all phases of the negotiation and litigation of domestic relations cases, including divorce, custody, support, alimony, property distribution, prenuptial agreements and related issues.
