Obermayer celebrates LGBTQ equality at HRC 2020 Greater Philadelphia Gala
Obermayer attorneys attended The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) annual gala, held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Loews Philadelphia Hotel. The event celebrated the great strides made for LGBTQ equality across the nation, and honored the incredible local leadership. The Human Rights Campaign Greater Philadelphia Dinner and Auction is one of the largest annual LGBTQ fundraising events in PA. Alphonso David, the president of the Human Rights Campaign and the first person of color to serve as president of HRC in the organization’s nearly 40-year history, gave an inspirational speech highlighting the importance of his identity as a gay black man in America and its influence on his legal career in civil rights litigation, resulting in the implementation of monumental policies in New York which affect the LGBTQ community and communities of color.
