“As a family law attorney, I guide and support my clients through what may likely be the most emotionally challenging situation of their lives. With their desired results in mind, I relentlessly advocate for them to achieve the best possible outcome.”

- Gia M. Sacchetta

Gia focuses her practice primarily on matrimonial law, including divorce, custody and visitation, support, mediation, adoption, and protection from abuse.

Gia enjoys being challenged and solving problems. She is dedicated to supporting individuals through difficult times and helping them navigate complex situations.

In her free time, Gia enjoys reading, cheering on the Phillies, exploring new restaurants, playing with her dog, and spending time at the beach with friends and family.

Prior to joining Obermayer, Gia served as a judicial law clerk in New Jersey Courts, where she assisted with family motions, drafted court orders, handled emergent applications by gathering information from the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, interviewing the filing party, and providing details and recommendations to the presiding judge. Gia worked with the Gloucester County Surrogate’s Office to execute close relative, agency, and DCPP adoption matters. She also gained experience mediating cases in Small Claims Court. This clerkship gave Gia unique insight into family law, deepening her understanding of what judges consider when making decisions.

During law school, Gia volunteered with Christian Legal Clinics, assisting individuals who couldn’t afford legal representation. She worked closely with attorneys to provide guidance on guardianship, custody, and probate matters, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

During her undergraduate studies, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology, Gia was an active member of the Recruitment Team and served as a THON Representative for Alpha Phi Fraternity.

She is also a current member of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
