Jonathan is an attorney in Obermayer’s Business and Finance department, focusing on business and corporate law, banking, real estate, and zoning. He thoroughly evaluates his clients’ positions and desired outcomes, using his litigation background and analytical skills to assess potential results, avoid pitfalls, and determine strategies for achieving the best possible outcomes. Jonathan believes that effective communication with clients is key to understanding their needs and objectives.

Jonathan became a lawyer to advocate for and advance his clients’ interests in the courtroom, enjoying the fact-gathering and investigative aspects of the profession. As he transitioned from regular courtroom practice to focus on transactional work, he has adeptly applied his litigation and analytical skills to provide unique perspectives, ensuring efficient and just outcomes for his clients.

Outside the office, Jonathan is an executive board member of his son’s youth baseball league and coaches his son’s teams. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, reading American history books, watching the Phillies, and taking walks with his dog. As avid baseball fans, his family is in the process of visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums.

Prior to joining Obermayer, Jonathan gained extensive experience in a practice heavily focused on residential mortgage foreclosures. In his previous role, he managed all aspects of litigation, including motions practice, discovery, and trials. His prior litigation experience provides a unique perspective that enhances his ability to counsel clients effectively. This background allows him to anticipate potential legal challenges, develop robust strategies, and offer insightful advice, ensuring his clients achieve the best possible outcomes.

In law school, Jonathan served as Managing Editor for Student Work at the Villanova Sports & Entertainment Law Journal and his article Professional Athletes Playing Video Games – The Next Prohibited Other Activity was published in Volume 15, Issue 1 of the Villanova Sports & Entertainment Law Journal. He earned his B.A. with honors, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh.
