Justin is an attorney in Obermayer’s Litigation Department, focusing his practice on civil and commercial litigation. He represents financial institutions, nonprofits, real estate developers, investors, and individuals in various legal matters, including insurance defense, premises liability, negligence, personal injury, product liability, professional liability, and contract disputes.
Justin has a comprehensive approach to litigation. He diligently gathers facts and investigates all relevant issues before legal proceedings commence. Once litigation begins, Justin is committed to building strong cases and advocating for his clients’ best interests. He strives to achieve the most efficient, cost-effective, and just outcomes possible under the circumstances.
Outside of the office, Justin finds fulfillment in outdoor activities and an active lifestyle. He enjoys fly fishing, rock climbing, biking, practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, or unwinding in nature through camping and hiking with his wife.
Justin has tried over twenty (20) cases to verdict before Pennsylvania juries. He finds fulfillment in advocating for clients in the courtroom, regardless of the case’s size.
Justin brings extensive experience in prosecuting a high volume of subrogation actions throughout the United States on behalf of insurance carriers and their insureds. He is well-versed in product liability and mass tort litigation as well.
In addition to his civil litigation expertise, Justin has served as an Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. In this role in the trials division, he was tasked with prosecuting misdemeanor and felony criminal cases, with a focus on offenses related to narcotics and firearms. Routinely managing a large caseload, Justin handled matters from pre-trial proceedings through final adjudication, including pre-trial motions, bench trials, jury trials, and post-trial motions.
Justin has also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In this role, he handled the prosecution of violent crimes, firearms violations, and Hobbs Act violations in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Justin graduated from Duquesne University School of Law with honors, achieving Magna Cum Laude distinction.
