Kelsey focuses her practice on bankruptcy and business reorganizations, advocating for a diverse range of clients including lenders, creditors, real estate developers, investors, individuals, private clients, and nonprofit organizations.
With a focus on protecting people’s interests, she is driven by a belief that those unfamiliar with the legal system are most vulnerable. With a combination of knowledge, skill, and determination, Kelsey diligently prepares to advocate for her clients’ best interests. She begins by understanding each client’s objectives and devising tailored strategies, whether through litigation or negotiation, to achieve favorable outcomes.
Kelsey embraces her inner nerd with a love for video, board, and tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons. Beyond gaming, she finds joy in reading and occasionally experiments with writing. Kelsey also enjoys hiking through nearby parks.
Kelsey has experience in handling cases involving fraud, consumer protection, RICO, data privacy, public nuisance, and constitutional claims. She’s skilled in drafting motions and arguments for federal district and appellate-level courts. She also has experience in preparing clients for depositions.
As a legal intern, she researched First Amendment rights in higher education and helped create a model policy for student fees.
Before law school, Kelsey worked at a media agency in California, where she managed contracts and foreign rights for various titles. She reviewed, drafted, negotiated, and finalized agreements with publishers, authors, and business partners for deals of up to seven figures. Her proficiency in conducting forensic audits was instrumental in ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Additionally, Kelsey made notable editorial contributions to publications such as The Book of Joy, Anticancer Living, and Eight Dates.
Kelsey was honored as one of the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 (Civil Plaintiff division) in 2023.
During law school, she held several notable positions, including Executive Editor for the Temple International & Comparative Law Journal and Trial Advocacy Class Assistant (thrice). Kelsey also completed an externship with the Philadelphia City Solicitor’s Office and was the only student in her class to earn certificates in both Business Law and Trial Advocacy. Additionally, she received a Barrister’s Award, was named a Faculty Scholar, made the Dean’s List, was recognized for Outstanding Oral Advocacy, and was active in organizations such as the Women’s Law Caucus, Temple NLG, NLG Expungement Project, NLG Name Change Project, and SPIN.
Prior to law school, Kelsey earned a B.A. Degree in Psychology from Cornell University with a concentration in Behavioral and Evolutionary Neuroscience. She received honors including the Cornell Tradition Fellowship (Prof. Isabel Peard Fellow), Alpha Phi Omega Pledge Class Service All-Star award, and Alpha Phi Omega LFS (Leadership, Friendship, and Service) Award.
