Melissa is an attorney in Obermayer’s Litigation Department. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, representing financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, as well as real estate developers and investors.
Melissa strives for excellence in everything she does, making it her mission to help others achieve their desired goals. She believes that active listening and clear communication are the keys to success. Melissa is organized, efficient, and a natural problem solver. She works hard to ensure that her clients feel heard and their needs are properly met.
In her free time, Melissa likes to read, watch movies, explore new restaurants, and travel.
During law school, Melissa had the opportunity to work as a legal intern at both the Attorney General’s Office and with the Honorable Christopher Romanyshyn, where she reviewed and summarized court orders and documents in preparation for hearings, and wrote recommendations for future operating procedures.
While working at the Victims of Crime Compensation Office, Melissa learned how to better sympathize with clients and appreciate that each individual has specialized needs that should not go unnoticed.
In law school, Melissa was a member of Lambda Law Alliance. She graduated University of Georgia (B.A.) with Honors including cum laude, and Dean’s List. Melissa was also a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Delta Upsilon Chapter. She studied for a semester at Oxford University in England.
