Partners David Ladov, Hillary Moonay, Michael Bertin, and Julie Colton to Present at Family Law Institute
Partners David Ladov, Hillary Moonay, Michael Bertin, and Julie Colton will be presenting at 2019 Family Law Institute in Philadelphia, hosted by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI). This annual event will take place on Tuesday, April 23, and Wednesday, April 24, at the CLE Conference Center in the Wanamaker Building.
David will be speaking on a panel titled, “A New Norm: Third Parties in Custody,” which will explore the rising prevalence of third parties, such as grandparents, same-sex parents/partners, and stepparents standing in loco parentis in custody matters. The panel will discuss third party participating in cases and subsequent issues and concerns. His panel will take place on Wednesday, April 24 from 8:30-10:00 A.M.
Hillary will be on a panel titled, “Trials and Tribulations of Witness Examinations,” which will discuss preparing and questioning witnesses, and how to manage when witnesses “go south” on the stand. Her panel will take place on Tuesday, April 23 from 10:15-11:45 A.M.
Michael will be co-presenting “Mission Impossible,” which will focus on how to counsel clients and seek creative remedies for emergency family matters, such as co-parenting disasters or getting money for your dependent spouse clients. His panel will take place on Tuesday, April 23 from 10:15-11:45 A.M.
Julie will be on a panel titled, “New Support Rules – Changes in the Law,” which will discuss the revised support calculations by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. They will cover why spousal support formulas changed, including side-by-side comparison calculations. Her panel will take place on Tuesday, April 23 from 12:45 – 2:15 P.M.
